I can't help but wonder if people brute-force these — it wouldn't be hard, you need only check four options to solve the main puzzle, and six to find the secret. If you got this far: did you discover that you don't need to find every sequence in the Knotilus puzzle to answer mine? If you solve the puzzle at all, it'll tell you the maximum number of possible sequences.
